These terms explain how our website design, hosting and maintenance service works — what you get, what it costs, and how to cancel. We've written them to be clear and fair. If anything is unclear, just ask us before you sign up.

1. Who we are
Beloved Websites ("we", "us", "our") is a web design and static-hosting service for small businesses, based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us by email at info.belovedwebsites@gmail.com, by phone on +44 7378 378430, or on WhatsApp.
These terms govern the service we provide to you ("you", "the customer"). By going live on a paid subscription, or by continuing to use your site after your free demo, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
We design, build, host and maintain a fast, mobile-first, professionally designed website for your business, with sensible on-page search-engine optimisation (SEO). In outline:
- Free demo. We build you a preview site on a
*.beloved-websites.comsubdomain, at no charge and with no obligation, so you can see it before committing. - Go live. When you're happy, we take it live — either free on a
*.beloved-websites.comsubdomain, or on your own custom domain under a paid subscription. - Hosting & maintenance. While your subscription is active we host your site with HTTPS/SSL, keep it online and secure, take backups, and keep the underlying software patched.
3. Your launch month & ongoing changes
This is the most important thing to understand, so we set it out clearly before you subscribe.
Your launch month
From go-live, we work closely with you for your first calendar month to get your site exactly right — copy, colours, sections, photos and layout. This is the time to polish it.
After your launch month
After that, your subscription keeps your site hosted, secure, backed up, on HTTPS and online, and we'll fix anything that genuinely breaks, or that we got wrong, as a matter of goodwill. Ongoing content or design changes after your launch month may be chargeable; we'll always tell you the cost and agree it with you before doing any chargeable work. Current rates are available on request. You can always still reach us — what changes after the first month is how ongoing edits are priced, not whether you can get in touch.
In short: the launch month is an intensive setup, not a permanent level of unlimited editing. Most sites, once launched well, need only occasional updates — and we'll agree the cost of any of those with you first.
4. Fees, billing & payment
- Subscription: the paid plan is £9.99 per month, covering hosting, SSL, security patching, backups, keeping your site online, and goodwill fixes.
- Free tier: a site kept on a
*.beloved-websites.comsubdomain (rather than your own domain) may be offered free of charge. Free sites carry a small "Website by Beloved Websites" credit, and we may withdraw the free tier on reasonable notice. - Payment: the subscription is billed monthly in advance from your go-live date, normally by Direct Debit. The demo is free — you only pay once you choose to go live on the paid plan.
- Ongoing changes: any chargeable changes after your launch month (clause 3) are agreed with you in advance.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails we may retry it and get in touch. If it stays unpaid we may suspend your site until it's settled.
- Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any change to your subscription price, and you're free to cancel before it takes effect.
5. Term, renewal & cancellation
- Monthly rolling — no minimum term and no long tie-in.
- Cancel any time by messaging us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month.
- When you cancel, your hosted site is taken offline at the end of the paid period. You're not locked in: you keep your own domain (clause 9), and you can ask us for a copy of your site to host elsewhere (clause 8).
- Consumer cooling-off rights are covered in clause 14.
6. Your content & acceptable use
- Your content. You confirm you own, or have the right to use, all the content you give us — text, logos, images, testimonials and prices — that it's accurate and lawful, and that we may publish it on your site.
- Fair use. The service is for building and improving your own business site. It isn't for reselling our service, agency-style production for third parties, or bulk/automated content generation. If use becomes excessive we'll talk to you first and agree a fair way forward — we won't cut you off without a conversation.
- Prohibited content. No unlawful, infringing, misleading, adult, hateful or otherwise harmful content or use.
7. Checking your content
You are responsible for checking and approving the final content of your site — especially business-critical details such as prices, phone numbers, addresses, opening hours and any claims you make — before it goes live and whenever it changes. Please review these carefully; you approve the published content.
8. Ownership & leaving with your site
- Your content stays yours. The text, logos, images and brand you provide remain your property. You grant us a licence to use them to build, host and maintain your site.
- Our design system stays ours. While you're subscribed you have a licence to use the site we host for you. The underlying templates, code framework and design system remain our intellectual property.
- No lock-in. If you cancel, you can ask us for a static export of your site (the published HTML, CSS and images) to host elsewhere. We won't hold your site hostage. After cancellation, and once any export has been provided, the copy we host is removed.
- Footer credit. Free-tier sites carry a "Website by Beloved Websites" credit.
9. Domains & hosting
- Your domain is yours. If you have your own domain it stays registered to you; we simply point it at our hosting.
- We host on a UK/EU server stack with HTTPS/SSL and a security/CDN layer. We're not responsible for outages of third parties outside our control, such as your domain registrar or DNS provider.
10. What we don't provide
To keep the service clear and sustainable, the following are not part of the service — though we're happy to point you to the best way to do them yourself:
- email or mailbox setup;
- paid advertising (for example Google or Facebook Ads);
- ongoing blogging or automated content generation;
- social-media post creation or scheduling;
- any bespoke backend systems, bots, or scheduled/automated jobs run on your behalf.
We build and maintain the website itself.
11. Availability, warranties & liability
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill and aim to keep your site available on a reasonable-endeavours basis. The £9.99 subscription does not include a guaranteed uptime commitment; maintenance is done at quiet times where we can.
- If you're a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.
- To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that can't lawfully be limited.
12. Suspension & termination by us
We may suspend or end the service — with notice where it's reasonable to give it — for non-payment, a serious breach of these terms, or unlawful or abusive use of the service.
13. Data protection
We handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as described in our Privacy Policy. Where your site has a contact or enquiry form, submissions from your visitors are processed by us on your behalf, as your data processor — you are the controller. We don't sell your data. Full details, including the categories of providers we rely on, are in the Privacy Policy.
14. Consumers: cancellation & cooling-off
If you are a consumer signing up at a distance, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Because the launch-month work is delivered quickly and to your brief, at sign-up we ask you to expressly request that we begin work within the 14-day period, and to acknowledge that if you cancel within those 14 days you agree to pay a proportionate amount for the work already done. For bespoke digital work already provided at your request, the cancellation right may no longer apply. This clause does not apply to business customers.
15. General
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms; for material changes we'll give reasonable notice (at least 30 days), and continuing to use the service means you accept the update. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts.
- Complaints. If something's not right, contact us at info.belovedwebsites@gmail.com — we aim to put things right fairly and quickly.
