What a window cleaning website needs
This list comes from the window cleaning websites we have designed and built. Each point is on at least one of the client sites shown below.
- Each service under its own heading: exterior windows, interior windows, gutter clearing, fascias and soffits, conservatory roofs, solar panels, Velux windows and skylights. A customer can see that you do gutters as well as glass.
- A WhatsApp button, so the customer can send photos of the house, and a quote form that asks for the postcode and the services wanted.
- How often you come: every 4, 6 or 8 weeks, or a one-off clean. The form can ask, so you know what kind of job it is before you reply.
- The towns and villages on your round, named on the page, so a customer knows whether you cover them before they get in touch.
- How you clean. If you use a water-fed pole and pure water, the site says so, and says what that means for upstairs windows and conservatory roofs.
- Who you are: your name, how long you have been cleaning windows and whether you are insured. We write the text from what you tell us and you check it before it goes live.
- Your real Google reviews, with a link to your Google page. We update them by hand, and we never write or invent reviews.
- How customers pay you, whether that is cash, bank transfer or something else. The site says so. It does not take the payment.

- See a free demoWe build a demo of your site from what you sent. It is free and you are under no obligation.
- Ask for changesTwo rounds of changes are part of the build. If we hear nothing for 3 working days after the demo message, we treat it as approved.
- Go liveGoing live depends on how quickly you check the demo. On your own domain, the £9.99 a month starts on the go-live date.
- The first monthThe first calendar month after go-live is for polishing the wording, colours, photos and layout with you. After that, changes may be chargeable; we agree the cost first.

Is there a contract or a minimum term?
It is monthly rolling, with no minimum term. You can cancel any time by message, and it takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. The full wording is in our terms.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. If you have your own domain it stays registered to you, and you never hand over a password. If you do not have one, we can buy one on your behalf at cost, usually about £10 a year for a .co.uk.
Do you do SEO for window cleaners?
Yes. On-page SEO is part of every build: page titles and descriptions, a sitemap, image descriptions, and structured data that names your business, your services and your area. We do not promise a ranking. Nobody honest can guarantee a position on Google, and we won’t.
What photos do I need to send?
Photos of your real work are best, and phone photos are fine. For a window cleaner that could be you at work with the pole, your van, and before and after shots of gutters, fascias or a conservatory roof. Send five to ten. The photos of jobs on your site are always your own; backgrounds and icons we make ourselves.
How long does it take to get a window cleaning website?

Can customers book a clean or pay through the website?
No. We do not build online booking or payments. Customers call, message you on WhatsApp or send the quote form, and you arrange the visit and the payment with them. If you already use a booking or payment service, we can put a button on your site that takes customers to it.
